The unemployment numbers have risen slightly and yet the economy seems fine although some things have changed. As an executive manager this figure is quite important. If the figure goes too low you can't find decent assistance to run your company and wages increase and so it costs more money to produce your products and services. If the unemployment is too high then nobody has a job and can't purchase your goods or small Business Consulting services and therefore the unemployment numbers are extremely important indeed.

Some people may think that hiring a Business Consultant is expensive. The reality is, not hiring one could be more costly in the long run. Money can be lost quickly in a company, but with a Business Consultant on board, this may be prevented. For instance, if the business gets their products from a vendor, the consultant can be sure that the vending company is charging a fair price. They can be certain that the organization is getting exactly what they cover.

What was different about both consultants? Both had briefcases. Both were knowledgeable. Both were stocky. Both had salt-and-pepper beards. Both embraced the technology of their day.

It's not often a small business consultant will admit to a failure in a small business but my first adventure into small Business Consulting was a failure. I closed the business within two decades.

Very good Business Management isn't a dictatorship but a team environment. Do not make people feel like they are walking on eggshells and afraid to make a mistake. Mistakes happen. People today need the ability to be creative and take risks. If you don't allow people to think beyond the box and be creative because they have to do things your way, they may come to resent you and may even feel hostile toward you. Do not look over a workers shoulder as they operate. Give them the freedom in their job to work and be creative. You will get more business productivity this way.
